The Yoga Warrior Project is a community-based organization with a mission is to foster the overall well-being of young individuals through a comprehensive approach that combines Healing-centered experiences, yoga, social-emotional learning, mindfulness, and healthy living practices.
Our vision is to encourage BIPOC youth to thrive and transform their lives through holistic well-being, cultural empowerment, and the transformative power of yoga.
The Yoga Warrior Project is dedicated to enhancing the lives of BIPOC youth in community, by providing culturally sensitive and inclusive programs.
We are committed to providing accessible yoga classes to BIPOC youth aged 5-18, focusing on communities facing economic hardships and limited access to resources. Cultivating social-emotional learning by integrating activities and discussions that promote healing, self-awareness, cultural identity, resilience, and positive relationships among participants. Introducing mindfulness techniques rooted in culturally relevant practices to help youth manage stress, anxiety, and improve focus and concentration. By promoting healthy living habits through education on nutrition, physical fitness, and wellness practices, respecting and incorporating cultural preferences and traditions.
We aspire to create a supportive and empowering community where BIPOC youth can thrive, develop resilience, and unlock their full potential. The Yoga Warrior Project envisions a future where every young individual, regardless of their background, has the tools and support they need to lead healthy, fulfilling lives.
